3 Essentials For The Perfect Baby Shower

3 ESSENTIALS FOR THE PERFECT BABY SHOWER

Baby showers are the highlight of pregnancy. All your friends, family and loved ones gather to celebrate the new life growing in your womb. Everyone you love is in one room rejoicing with you at the anticipation of new life. If you’re throwing a baby shower for someone, there are a few essential items you’ll want to give special attention to. Many details and logistics go into throwing a perfect shower, but the most important priorities are; the invitations, favors and gifts.

Baby Shower Invitations

The baby shower invitations are the first impression the guests will have. The invitation should reflect the overall theme of the shower. If you have a difficult time knowing where to start, gather ideas from the nursery. Look at the color schemes, the different accents and themes. Keep the invitation consistent with what you observed. One of the most commonly overlooked details of the invitation is the essential information. Don’t forget the who the shower is for, directions on how to get to the venue, a rsvp date and any registry information.
Keep the invitation short and simple. Don’t try to communicate too much information. Many people create a website or a blog and direct guests there for more detailed information.

Baby Shower Favors

Like the invitations are the first impression, the baby shower favors will be the lasting impression. The favor should be something to commemorate the day, practical and memorable. When you create your budget for the shower, don’t forget to include the favors in the expenses. There’s no reason to spend a ton of money of the favors. Just try to make them unique and tailored to the mom and baby’s style.

Baby Shower Gifts

The most important rule of thumb when giving baby shower gifts are to purchase items that the individual registered for or you know they want. If you go out on a limb and buy a bunch of stuff you like, they will most likely end up being returned. You may want to get creative and purchase something that is unique. If this is the case, make sure you know it is something they will want. You can also bring the item up in a conversation to get a good feel where the mom is at with that particular item.

When planning a baby shower keep the mom in mind. There are always so many details that go into planning the perfect baby shower, but the most important is the mom’s wants and desires. Remember to have fun planning and creating the perfect shower. Don’t allow the details to take away from the special day. Just plan well, relax and have a good time.
